Scarborough RUFC will be hosting the annual

Scarborough Sevens Tournament

on

Saturday 8th May 2010

The event will enable us to showcase our new 4-million pound facility, with social tournaments for both Men’s and Ladies teams.

The format for both these social competitions are the same, with twelve teams in four leagues of three, with first and second placed teams progressing into the Trophy knockout rounds. Third placed teams from each league will play off for the Plate.

* Each team will be guaranteed at least three games during the day.

* Each squad is to consist of twelve players, a physiotherapist and a team manager.

Scarborough is a great location for a Sevens Tournament, with inexpensive accommodation and a lively nightlife, this premier resort is fully geared up for the rugby tourist. The event gives players the opportunity to have an end-of-season get together and enjoy their rugby without the pressures of league rugby.

There will be a deposit of £50 to enter a team into either competition, made payable to ‘Scarborough RUFC’.
Please enclose a guaranteed cheque/postal order with your application form.

The Scarborough Sevens will refund your deposit upon your team's participation in the event.

Should you wish to stay on site over the weekend as a cheaper alternative, camping pitches will be available at a cost of £10 per person for one night or £15 for two nights.
This charge includes a cooked breakfast in the clubhouse.

The tournament is going to be a fantastic social gathering for rugby players, their families, supporters and enthusiasts.
