Scarborough RUFC will be hosting the annual Scarborough Sevens Tournament on the weekend of Sat 10th and Sun 11th May 2008

The format for both competitions is the same, with twelve teams in four leagues of three, with first and second placed teams progressing into the Trophy and Bowl knockout rounds. Third placed teams from each league will play off for the Plate.

* Each team will be guaranteed at least three games during the day.
* Each squad is to consist of twelve players, a physiotherapist and a team manager.
* Following the presentation of the trophies after each competition there will be a BBQ for all participants and officials involved in that day's event, which of course will be free of charge.

Scarborough is a great location for a Sevens Tournament, with inexpensive accommodation and a lively nightlife, this premier resort is fully geared up for the rugby tourist. The event gives players the opportunity to relax and enjoy their rugby as the league season draws to a close.

Prize Fund of £2000

There will be a deposit of £100 plus a £50 entrance fee, payable to 'Scarborough RUFC' to secure your place in the Pindar Trophy competition, please enclose these are two separate guaranteed cheques with your application form. To secure a place in the Real Ale 7's a deposit of £50 is payable. The Scarborough Sevens will refund your deposit upon your team's participating in the tournament entered.
