Scarborough RUFC will be hosting the annual Scarborough Sevens Tournament on Saturday 8th August 2009 As we have relocated to our new ground we have changed the traditional date of the Scarborough 7’s to showcase our new 4 million pound facility, with tournaments for both Men’s and Ladies teams. The format for both these social competitions are the same, with twelve teams in four leagues of three, with first and second placed teams progressing into the Trophy knockout rounds. Third placed teams from each league will play off for the Plate. * Each team will be guaranteed at least three games during the day. * Each squad is to consist of twelve players, a physiotherapist and a team manager. There will be a deposit of £50 plus a £50 camping pitch fee should you wish to stay on site over the weekend, payable to 'Scarborough RUFC' to secure your place in either competition, please enclose these as two separate guaranteed cheques with your application form. The Scarborough Sevens will refund your deposit upon your team's participation in the event. All camping fees will also be returned once teams have vacated their pitch and it is left clean and tidy.
